Sales tax sharing proposed for Putnam County

KENT – Representatives of each of Putnam’s six towns and three villages joined County Executive Kevin Byrne outside Kent Town Hall Tuesday when the executive proposed renewing the county’s previously authorized one percent sales tax extension while sharing a portion of that revenue with each municipality, according to population.
