Putnam sales tax revenue on track

CARMEL- Putnam County businesses collected $7.7 million in sales tax dollars in January, a $675,000 increase over revenue collected in January 2024.


Commissioner of Finance Michael Lewis released his monthly sales tax report late Friday.


The county is on target to collect its projected $79.3 million in sales tax dollars by year’s end.


Last year $85.2 million was collected in sales tax revenue, $12 million more than had been projected.
